Our Story

Tom & Natascha

It Started with a WhatsApp Group

Like most great modern love stories, ours didn't start in a café, at a party, or in a dramatic rom-com moment where someone drops their coffee and we lock eyes across the room.

No.

Ours started in a mutual friend's WhatsApp group — the true soulmate-finding hotspot of the 21st century.

Somewhere between group chat chaos, random messages, and people definitely not replying on time, Tom slid into the conversation and did what can only be described as the most effective courting technique known to mankind...

He sent dog photos. Specifically: photos of Tilly.

And honestly, that was it. Natascha saw Tilly's face and immediately knew: this man is either the one… or at the very least, he's going to be extremely hard to ignore.

Tom's first impression of Natascha was slightly more normal (and significantly less dog-based). He thought she was sweet, kind, caring, and noticed how much interest she showed in him — which is a polite way of saying she gave him attention and he was instantly hooked.

From there, the conversation became one of those "accidentally all day" things — and the more we talked, the more it became obvious we were falling into something that felt easy, natural, and just… right.

The "Oh... This is Something" Moment

Tom realized things were serious when Natascha casually revealed one of her most iconic relationship traits:

She would pretend to fall asleep to avoid having to text "good night"…

…so she could carry the conversation on the next day.

Not only is this genius, it is also the kind of slightly unhinged honesty that Tom instantly adored.

There was also the moment we went out "as friends" and Tom found himself wanting to give Natascha a hug and kiss — which is usually a strong sign that you're no longer in the "just mates" category.

The Chippy Mission

For Natascha, the moment she knew Tom was the one was much more romantic.

Not in the "sunset walk on the beach" way.

More in the "this man has made me walk MILES for a chippy" way.

And somehow… that was the moment.

Because nothing says commitment like surviving a long trek for chips and still choosing love at the end of it.

The First Proper Date

Our first proper date was Slug & Lettuce, followed by the Sea World Centre — which is a combination that sounds like something you'd come up with after saying "we should do something cute" and then immediately committing to it.

It was one of those dates that didn't feel awkward or forced. It just felt like we were already in our own little world — the kind where you're laughing constantly, talking about everything and nothing, and accidentally making memories without even trying.

Early Relationship Chaos

(aka proof we're meant to be)

One of our earliest moments that still makes us laugh to this day is the time Natascha launched Tom off the bed.

There's no elegant way to explain it.

There's no version of it where Tom wins.

It was simply one of those moments where you realize: yes, I am in love… and yes, I might also be in danger.

And honestly, that balance has worked really well for us.

What We Love Doing Together

If you know us, you'll know we're happiest doing the simple things:

  • 🎲 Playing board games (competitively, obviously)
  • 🎮 Gaming until the early hours
  • ✨ Generally just vibing (which is a real activity, and we take it seriously)

We're the kind of couple who can have the best time doing absolutely nothing — as long as we're doing it together.

What We Love Most About Each Other

Natascha loves Tom for his caring nature, his calmness, and his ability to take even the worst moments and somehow turn them into something lighter, better, and more manageable. Tom is the kind of person who makes you feel safe without even trying.

Tom loves that Natascha is completely, unapologetically true to herself — always. She's the person who will say what everyone else is thinking, deliver a perfect one-liner at the exact right moment, and still be the first one to have your back no matter what.

The Most "Us" Things About Us

If you've spent more than five minutes with us, you'll know:

  • 👑 Natascha is the queen of witty one-liners and will always be in Tom's corner, even if he's wrong (especially if he's wrong).
  • 🚶 Tom is the king of walking off and doing random things, usually with full confidence and no explanation, like a man being guided by invisible side quests.

Somehow, it works perfectly.

And Now…

Somewhere between dog photos, chippy missions, Slug & Lettuce dates, and Tom's constant wandering, we ended up building something that feels like home.

We're best friends, teammates, and each other's favourite person — and we cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with all the people we love most.

Thanks for being part of our story.

Now please come to the wedding, have a drink, and witness the chaos.

With all our love,
Tom & Natascha

Best Man

How do you know the bride/groom?

Tom's my Best friend, known each other nearly 10 years now! Met through sheer luck and happenstance! I know Natascha through Tom! I'm very lucky to know both of them.

What's your favorite memory with them?

A pretty ordinary day. Went out with some family for the morning and came home, thought I was being called to help move something outside. Little did I know, Tom and Nat were lying in wait! I don't think I actually recovered from that surprise for a solid couple hours at the very least.

What's your role in the wedding?

Best Man! Still not sure why I was chosen but I'm happy to be here!

What's one fun fact about you?

I once slipped when leaving the toilet, accidentally ripping a bannister off the wall in the process. I'm somewhat accident prone!

What are you most excited for at the wedding?

The food! (seeing my friends finally tie the knot)

Any advice for the couple?

Keep me away from anything valuable, I beg of you. But seriously. I'm not sure I could give any advice to you two. Just keep being yourselves!

How do you know the bride/groom?

I've known Tom for almost twelve years now and Natascha for just coming up to six years. I first met Tom on Destiny, during the Vault of Glass raid. It was purely by chance—we crossed paths when I was inviting folks to play games, and Tom accepted my invite. From there, a friendship quickly developed. I met Natascha through Tom, during a gaming session where Tom passed over his headset. Natascha and I started chatting, and I even tried to teach her how to play Destiny. Those early days are memories I still cherish.

What's your favorite memory with them?

One of my favourite memories is when I first got to meet them both in person. They invited me to their new home to help with some decorating. We spent the weekend painting walls, listening to music, talking, and laughing.

What's your role in the wedding?

As a groomsman, I'm incredibly honoured to stand by Tom's side. I'm most excited about the ceremony, seeing everyone dressed up for the occasion.

Any advice for the couple?

My advice for the couple is to always make time for one another.

What is one fun fact about yourself?

A fun fact about me is that I am musically versatile which helps me to play songs by just listening to them.

How long have you known the Bride & Groom?

For 10 years, I have known two wonderful friends who would then become the Bride and Groom of this ceremony. During those years I have made numerous fond memories and it all started at college with one conversation from a crisis of missing a deadline. Now it feels like I have known Natt and Tom forever and that they were never apart from each other to begin with.

What's your favorite memory with them?

Looking back, some of my favourite memories of Nat and Tom would be of all the times we would go for nights out and drinks at the at the town of Stourbridge as well as all the laughs we had at college exchanging funny messages and creating even funnier memes of which I can honestly say, still brings a smile to my face to this day.

What's your role in the wedding?

I'm honoured that I will have the role of Groomsman at the wedding and am grateful to be a witness and a part of the happiest day for two of my closest friends that I have known a long time.

Now I'm most excited to see the bright future that's ahead for these two wonderful people that I'm proud and lucky to have and call my life long friends. And once again, congratulations you legends.

Maid of Honor

Maid of Honor

How do you know the bride/groom?

Hi, I'm Beth, and I'm Nat's Maid of Honour. We met at work at InTouch Games when she was in training. One of the first things I remember is her trying to plug a headset into mine, but neither of them were actually connected to the computer—we both just sat there pretending to listen to calls. Then she tried to call herself from the computer and said she couldn't hear herself… before realising she hadn't actually said anything back on her phone. It was a funny and memorable introduction.

What's one fun fact about you?

A fun fact about me is that I find numbers relaxing—I sometimes do mental arithmetic or logic puzzles just to unwind.

Any advice for the couple?

My advice for the couple is to be patient with each other and keep communicating, even about small things.

Maid of Honor

How do you know the bride/groom?

I've had the pleasure of knowing Natascha for just under six years now. We first crossed paths back in 2019 at work, when she started wide-eyed about new office life (and, let's be honest, already dreaming of clock-out time). The early days of Covid is what really cemented our friendship right as the world went into lockdown. While everyone else was perfecting banana-bread recipes, Natascha and I were glued to Slack and FaceTime, keeping each other sane through endless work-from-home days and our shared, borderline-ridiculous obsession with Animal Crossing, she became my daily lifeline. We'd chat every single day—sometimes all day—about work, villagers, and whether it was acceptable to start pouring a drink before 6 p.m. Through Natascha I also met Tom, and I'm happy to claim him as a friend too. Watching the two of them together is like seeing puzzle pieces snap into place—everything just fits.

What's your favorite memory with them?

My favourite Natascha moment? Hands down the night she matched me drink for drink. Watching her keep pace with my Wray & Nephew pours—and remain upright—was iconic. I don't hand out “drinking legend” titles lightly, but she earned it, no question. I'd never been so proud watching her keep pace with me. Another highlight is every late shift we survived together at the office, turning mundane tasks into mini-adventures just to make the time pass. We still hated the work, but with Natascha around, even the dullest task felt like a sitcom episode.

What's one fun fact about you?

I can hold an entire conversation with a mouthful of drink. Talent comes in many forms.

What are you most excited for at the wedding?

On the big day I'm most excited to see Tom's face when Natascha starts her walk down the aisle, and then to witness the pure joy they'll share as they trade their vows.

Any advice for the couple?

“If you ever get angry with each other, go to bed naked—see if you can stay mad for long.” Works like a charm. Here's to a lifetime of laughter, late-night antics, and love that never needs a time-sheet.

How do you know the bride/groom?

I've known the bride and groom for two years! We actually started talking just before my own wedding. We met through a mutual friend - Nat asked to get to know me, and we've been besties ever since. I'm so glad she took that chance on me, and I'm forever grateful I got the opportunity to get to know both Nat and Tom.

What's your role in the wedding?

My role is to be a bridesmaid and look after Nat.

What's one fun fact about you?

One fun fact about me is that I've probably watched every Disney film at least twice!

What are you most excited for at the wedding?

I'm most looking forward to seeing Nat and Tom walk back down the aisle as a married couple, witnessing the love they have for each other—and being surrounded by everyone who loves them, all in one place to celebrate.

Any advice for the couple?

My advice: Try to get some time just for the two of you - even if it's just ten minutes - to soak it all up and simply be the bride and groom.

What's your favorite memory with them?

When we all went to the escape room in Birmingham! It was called the fourth samurai! It was such a good evening, rather challenging for us all. I don't think we realised what we had signed up for before booking! Unfortunately we didn't make it out but it was still a very fun evening, another 5 minutes and I think we could have cracked it! We did spend almost half of the time in the first room which definitely didn't help! After the escape room we finished the evening with some nice drinks and food, a lovely end to a fab day for us all!

What's your role in the wedding?

I am a bridesmaid.

What's one fun fact about you?

I love all things outdoors, hiking and running when I can! My new favourite thing to do is mud runs and HYROX! I've recently completed a military obstacle course, running through mud which was so much fun and completed a doubles and relay in Birmingham! I can't wait to do more already! Another fun fact about me is that I'm currently learning British sign language, I love to challenge myself and I love learning a new language!

What are you most excited for at the wedding?

I'm most looking forward to spending the day with our nearest and dearest celebrating the happy couple! I can't wait to dance the night away on the dance floor with everyone and seeing some cool moves!

Bridesmaid

Bridesmaid

How do you know the bride/groom?

I know you both thanks to the magic of Tascha—met her at work, then got introduced to Tom through her (couldn't escape even if I tried). It's been what, 5 or 6 years now? Time flies when you're being mildly chaotic together.

What's your favorite memory with them?

Top memory? 100% the birthday BBQ—followed by discovering a drunken video of you thanking me for coming… to my own house. Iconic.

What's your role in the wedding?

The smollest (and clearly most funny) bridesmaid.

What's one fun fact about you?

I read really fast and this week I read 700+ Pages in a day.

What are you most excited for at the wedding?

Honestly, I'm just super excited to celebrate with you both and witness the start of your next chapter (and probably cry while pretending not to).

Any advice for the couple?

Make sure you both stop and take a moment on the big day to stop, breathe, and soak it all in. And in the run-up, just remember: it's your wedding. Tell everyone else to sit down and behave (with love, obviously).
